One thing that these hiring managers hate the most are candidates who talk too much. Use this as your weapon and you will definitely ace your career. It is not just about equal opportunities, females are way behind when it comes to pay equality. Though the data I have quoted below is slightly old but I have no reason to believe that anything would have changed in last 24 months. According to the World Economic Forum's (WEF) Global Gender Gap Report 2018, India ranked 108th out of 149 countries on the gender gap index. Women in India earn 19% less than men, reflecting the high gender pay gap in the country, according to the Monster Salary Index survey released in March 2019. The gap has narrowed merely by 1% in 2018 from 20% a year ago. The survey also indicated that gender pay difference widening with a higher skill level. While there is no gender pay gap in semi-skilled work, the gap touches 20% for skilled women and 30% for highly skilled occupations. The gap increases with experience and is highest at 15% in favor of men for talent with 10 and more years of experience.
